Maya Paradise Privacy Policy

If you require more information or have any questions about our privacy policy, please feel free to contact us by email at info@mayaparaiso.com.

At Maya Paradise we consider the privacy of our visitors to be extremely important. This privacy policy document describes in detail the types of information recorded by Maya Paradise and how we use it.

Log Files

Virtually every server on the Internet, whether it's a web server, email server, FTP server, keeps log files. These log files record every request made of the server by logging the time and date, IP address, and what was requested, such as a web page, photo image, and so forth. IP addresses cannot be used to identify specific individuals without additional information that's only available to law enforcement.

Because IP addresses are assigned in ranges, one can usually determine the country of origin and ISP (Internet Service Provider). Browsers identify their type (Firefox, Chrome, Opera, etc.) and whether it's a mobile or desktop browser because it's sometimes necessary for a web site to customize a web page's appearance to suit a certain browser. The visitor's preferred language is shown so a web site can present material in a visitor's native language. Referrer info is also available, making it possible to see if a visitor found the web site by using Google, or Bing, or if they clicked a link on another web site.

Web site operators run analytical software that extracts statistics from the information in the log. This software answers questions like: Which countries are providing traffic and at what times of day? Which web pages are the visitors most interested in? How long are they spending on each web page. What page brought them to the site and which page was the last one they viewed. All of this is useful to know and none of it identifies individuals. Most web site operators study this information to improve their site.
